The Mechanical Engineering Technology program trains technicians to design various mechanical components and systems, plan their manufacture, and ensure quality control. More specifically, students will develop skills in:
- Drawing up a production planning sheet and programming digitally controlled machines
- Designing and manufacturing equipment, industrial pipes, and mechanical systems including baseframes, and producing prototypes
- Quality control and the planning and maintenance of machinery
- Organizing and coordinating production tasks, technology watches, and research and development
