General description
Assemblers put together the equipment, parts, and components found in many sectors of the electric and smart vehicle industry. They might assemble electric vehicle components, electronic assemblies, engines, and so on. Every day they have an opportunity to work on challenging projects that are revolutionizing the transportation and mobility sector and to help drive vehicle electrification forward as they strengthen and enhance their skills.
Examples of tasks and responsibilities
- Assemble parts for a variety of products/assemblies such as electric vehicles, engines, electronic parts, charging stations, etc.
- Follow assembly drawings, guidelines, and work methods
- Inspect and monitor work performed according to the procedures set out in the quality plan
- Operate the test bench and identify potential problems
- Adjust, modify, repair, and fine tune products/assemblies
Required skills
- Skills in assembling parts (electrical, electronic, mechanical, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as drawings (electrical, electronic, mechanical, etc.)
- Good manual dexterity
- Flexibility and versatility
- Teamwork skills
